CARE
Kept running, if you want it kept running.
The month after launch is when a site quietly starts to rot
Nobody applies the updates. Nobody checks whether the backups actually ran. A contact form breaks and nobody notices for six weeks, because nobody was looking.
None of that is dramatic. It is just the slow version of the thing you paid to avoid.
What is included
Hosting and domain kept current
Platform updates applied
Backups running, and checked rather than assumed
Uptime and form monitoring, so a broken enquiry form gets found by me instead of by you
A set number of small content changes each month, named in writing so neither of us is guessing
A short check in on what your analytics are actually doing
Owners who would rather not think about it, and businesses where the website is genuinely how people find you. If an outage costs you enquiries, this pays for itself.
Who This Is For
If you are comfortable applying your own updates and you quite like poking at settings, do not buy this. You will resent paying for something you could do in twenty minutes a month, and you would be right to.
Who This Is Not For
From $150 a month for the ongoing part.
The exact figure depends on the size of the site and how many changes you want included. I will name it before you agree to anything.
Anything ad hoc is quoted separately, per piece of work, before I start it. No hourly billing, and no bank of retainer hours to use up or lose.
How the price works
This is optional. It is offered at every handover, it is not built into the price of a build, and you can stop whenever you like.
Everything stays in your name throughout. If you cancel, the site keeps working and you keep the keys. Nothing switches off.
I am not interested in being the person you have to call. Care exists because some people would rather have it handled, not because I built you something you cannot run without me.
The Part That Actually Matters
And the things that come up in between
-
Coordinating a launch, a rebrand, or a move between platforms. Keeping other people's deadlines from quietly becoming your problem.
-
Light brand systems and brand kits, marketing collateral that matches what you already have, logo refinement, or coordinating a specialist designer when it genuinely needs one.
-
Campaign planning, email, landing pages, the pieces that sit around a launch and usually get done badly at the last minute.
-
Posts, carousels and scheduling for businesses I have already built for, produced with the same system I run for my own accounts.
None of this is bundled into the monthly fee, and none of it turns up as a surprise on an invoice.
You ask, I quote a fixed price for that piece of work, you say yes or no.
Nothing starts on a maybe.
